What it does

The February 2014 listing, from Front's private beta, described a collaborative email client for teams working from shared addresses, meant to end blind copies, forwards and unanswered messages, with Twitter support promised next.

What happened next

Front still operates at front.com, where the old frontapp.com address now redirects, selling customer service software built around the shared inbox. In June 2022 it announced a $65 million Series D at a $1.7 billion valuation and said it had nearly 8,000 customers; in July 2025 it relaunched the product with AI features, and it posted product updates through August 2026.
