The Bangalore content platform that became Contentivo.
Zimrr, a 2014 content marketing platform from Bangalore, reappeared within months as Contentivo on pages signed by Zimrr Technologies, turned into an employee advocacy tool by March 2015; both its domains later carried unrelated sites.
Zimrr's listing, captured in August 2014, called it a "Content marketing platform", in public beta from Bangalore. It would help "brands and agencies create great content, at scale", with a content calendar for planning, collaboration features for sharing ideas, and workflows to keep producers "on top of production deadlines."
In May 2014, zimrr.com had pitched something broader: an enterprise marketing platform "Launching in MAY 2014", with discussion forums, task assignment and file storage, and competitor and content analytics "brewing in our labs". Its footer read "Copyright ©2014 Zimrr Technologies Pvt Ltd".
By August the same pitch had a new name. contentivo.com offered "Content marketing software to help you create and publish content, at scale", signed "Zimrr Technologies Private Ltd", and a second directory card for Contentivo, in private beta, gave Tallinn, Estonia as its home. No page found states the rename in words. In December 2014 Contentivo was still "Content marketing for Teams".
Then the product changed. On 1 March 2015 contentivo.com was an "Employee Advocacy Platform": "Tap into social reach of employees to amplify your campaigns." The footer now read "© 2015 Zimrr Technologies OU". By 16 March the directory card called Contentivo "the next generation employee advocacy platform". In June 2016 admins could post company content to a promotion hub for employees to share on Facebook and Twitter, earning virtual points, for $49 to $149 a month, under "Copyright Zimrr Technologies".
By July 2017 contentivo.com returned a hosting provider's error page, and by September 2018 it carried an unrelated general blog. In June 2021 zimrr.com showed the error page of an unrelated link shortener. When checked in September 2026, zimrr.com refused connections.
