The curated crowdfunding platform that now invests in fintech and SaaS.

A London equity crowdfunding platform listed in November 2014, run by a company first registered as Crowdfunding Ventures Limited, that now describes itself as a venture capital firm backing fintech and SaaS companies.

VentureFounders' listing, created on 27 November 2014 and seen on directory cards in March 2015, called it "An equity crowdfunding platform backed by a team with a wealth of investment and start-up experience." The London company promised investors "curated, structured and diligenced investment opportunities" from a team with backgrounds in private equity, angel investing, venture capital and investment management, and said every member of its investment team was FCA registered.

Companies House shows the company was incorporated on 2 August 2013 as Crowdfunding Ventures Limited and renamed Venture Founders Limited six weeks later. In November 2014 its homepage offered "Curated crowdfunding opportunities from investment professionals." Three campaigns were open; the furthest along, for the FreedMan office chair, had £672,848 from 34 investors towards a £900,039 target. The footer gave the FCA firm reference 613003 and the company's registration number.

Larger rounds followed. Startups.co.uk reported that 36 investors helped the medical diagnostics maker Zilico raise nearly £1.8 million on VentureFounders in June 2016, and that Talmix raised £2 million from 33 investors there that August.

In November 2018, a profile of co-founder James Codling described VentureFounders as an equity investment platform giving "sophisticated, HNW clients" access to early-stage deals. In Codling's words, the firm had built a portfolio of 27 investments in four years and helped those companies raise more than £100 million.

The site today is headed "Venture investing in fintech and SaaS." It describes a venture capital firm backing post-Series A B2B and B2B2C technology companies, established in 2014. It gives the same FCA reference and company number and does not mention crowdfunding; the records we opened do not show when the platform stopped offering deals to a crowd. Companies House lists the company as active, with a confirmation statement dated 2 August 2026.
