The Vancouver tutoring service sold with its parent company.

An online tutoring platform listed from Vancouver that launched in 2015, was sold with its parent, the Kesson Group, to Pluribus Technologies in January 2022, and was offered for sale again in its buyer's 2025 court-supervised restructuring.

Skooli's listing, captured on 20 August 2019, offered "Professional online tutoring" from Vancouver. It described "a dynamic, open online tutoring space with a very simple mission: to match students with the best tutors for their personal learning needs," from difficult topics to "just cramming for your finals." It gave the stage as public beta.

BetaKit had reported Skooli's official launch four years earlier, in September 2015, after an open beta with 10,000 users. The service matched students with licensed public school teachers for kindergarten to grade 12 and Masters-level tutors for university, vetted by education recruiters, around the clock.

In January 2022, Pluribus Technologies, a TSX Venture Exchange company that buys small business-to-business software firms, agreed to buy the Kesson Group, a Toronto group formed in 2003. Kesson ran Skooli alongside Teach Away, a recruitment platform for international educators, and Klassroom, a teacher licensure programme. The price was $10 million in cash plus shares, warrants and an earn-out. Pluribus closed the purchase on 28 January 2022, describing Skooli as tutoring for school districts, not-for-profits and corporations.

Pluribus entered court-supervised restructuring in December 2024, the monitor's case page shows. On 23 January 2025, Pluribus announced that the monitor, B. Riley Farber, was seeking buyers for all or part of the group, Skooli included, with binding offers due by 18 February. The case page lists an approval and vesting order on 14 March 2025 and a termination order on 14 May; the records we could open do not name a buyer.

An archived copy of skooli.com from 10 September 2025 still offered "Online tutoring with real teachers" to students, parents, schools and districts, with a Toronto headquarters and no owner named. On 28 and 29 September 2026, skooli.com did not resolve.
