The Strasbourg school network that became a workplace app.

A social workspace for schools started by Strasbourg students in 2014, renamed Atolia in 2017 to sell to businesses, acquired by SaaS Labs in 2022 and folded into its US company in 2024.

Scoledge joined Stompstart on 1 September 2014 from Strasbourg, calling itself "the first social & digital workspace for Schools." Its description promised students and teachers a way to work together more efficiently, with a notebook, messaging, a homework assistant, a grade tracker, online courses, file sharing, a calendar and attendance management, plus "the fun side of social networks." Stompstart's France page carried the card in March 2015.

The company, Scoledge SAS, was registered in Strasbourg on 8 July 2015, registry data shows. In a March 2018 interview with Startup Story, co-founder Guillaume Nominé said he and Billy Shen had started it in 2014 while still students. The education side earned €100,000 in 2017, he said, from higher-education schools and training centres including ENSAM, ENA and ENSIIE. But Scoledge was "un nom trop axé sur l'éducation," a name too focused on education, so in September 2017 the founders renamed the startup Atolia and launched a version for businesses, aimed at remote work. The legal name did not change until 28 September 2020.

On 1 February 2022 Le Monde Informatique reported that SaaS Labs, an Indian software company founded in 2016 and maker of the JustCall cloud call-centre software, had acquired Atolia. The Strasbourg company, with about 15 staff, offered videoconferencing, shared calendars and collaborative documents. Nominé stayed on as chief executive and Kevin Abrantes as chief technology officer. "Nous avions besoin de grandir à l'international," Nominé said: they needed to grow internationally.

In November 2024 the French company was dissolved without liquidation and its assets passed to SaaS Labs US, Inc., according to the same registry. When checked in September 2026, scoledge.com redirected to atolia.com, which did not load.
