The Chicago email tool that kept its name after its founder sold it.
A Chicago drag-and-drop email marketing service whose founder says it was acquired in 2015, without naming the buyer, and which sold email plans under its own name until at least April 2024.
RedCappi was on Stompstart's browse pages by August 2019 as an "E-mail marketing service for small businesses" from Chicago. Its listing, captured that December, promised a way to create, send and track "amazing looking emails and newsletters in just minutes," with drag-and-drop coupons and videos, and said a first campaign could be set up "within 22 minutes."
The service was older than the listing. Founder Alec Beglarian writes on his Engage.Guru About page: "In 2015, my expertise bore fruit when the ESP I launched (RedCappi) and operated was successfully acquired." He does not name the buyer, and no source found does.
RedCappi kept its name. In April 2016 its About page called it "a hip and uncomplicated Chicago-based email marketing company," so simple "that even a baby can use it," and told its origin story through a character named Cappi, "a disillusioned diaper dealer." In a press release dated 15 March 2017, RedCappi said Capterra had rated it the most user-friendly of more than 300 email marketing products. By December 2021 it ran from getredcappi.com, the listing's blog address, which claimed "Over TWO BILLION emails delivered for 13,000+ customers." The same site still sold email plans on 22 April 2024.
By 16 June 2024 the address offered "IT Consulting, Cybersecurity, and Software Development services" instead, still under the RedCappi name and a RedCappi LLC copyright, with no email product. Nothing on the page says who ran it, and the same IT services page was still there on 14 July 2024. On 29 September 2026 getredcappi.com did not resolve, and redcappi.com served no RedCappi site.
