The Boston status-page app whose founders moved on to ClientFlow.
A Boston app that gave each client project one milestone status page, whose home page by April 2016 carried a letter from its co-founders introducing their next product, ClientFlow.
ProjectPulse's pitch read "Project status pages maintain project momentum with less work." The Stompstart listing, placed in Boston and marked Private Beta, gave each project a single landing page with its timeline of milestones, so progress could be shared "without learning a new system and forcing clients to login." It called ProjectPulse "the first project management app to be milestone-oriented instead of task-oriented," and put the idea simply: "In essence, status pages are a client presentation tool." Clients saw only the key milestones, needed no account and could subscribe for updates. The page, captured in August 2019, still invited readers to sign up for early access.
BetaList featured the app on 19 May 2015, listing it in Massachusetts. Its Product Hunt page, headed "Project status pages communicate progress for you," names the makers as Adam Lieb and Galen Vinter.
By 21 April 2016 the home page had been replaced by an undated letter headed "Something new is coming..." and addressed to "Loyal Users." It said: "The goal of the ProjectPulse app was to improve project status communication, but while solving this problem we realized that the problem persists throughout the client communication spectrum." The answer was a different product: "Our new platform, ClientFlow, is the client communication tool you've been looking for." Readers could sign up for early access at ClientFlow.io. The letter was signed "Galen + Ian, Co-founders, ProjectPulse," and a capture from 30 March 2018 shows it still in place, with the footer year changed to 2018.
The LinkedIn company page linked from the listing now carries the name ClientFlow, "Shared Inbox and Project Management Software," founded in 2015, with clientflow.io as its website. Galen Vinter's personal site says he co-founded ClientFlow and is currently in product at LogRocket. The clientflow.io address now shows only its own domain name, and projectpulse.io redirects to an unrelated gambling review site.
