The Birmingham CV builder whose company now makes podcasts.
A free CV builder listed from Birmingham in 2015 whose company, with the same two directors, was renamed Two Krakens Ltd in July 2025 and now runs a video and podcast studio.
Hashtag CV's pitch fit on one line: "Create a CV / Resume in minutes for FREE." Its Stompstart listing, captured in October 2015 while the product was in public beta, said the company "started with one single aim: 'To help everyone have access to a stand out CV or Resume'." The builder drew on what the listing called more than 10,000 CV phrases and personal profiles written by industry experts, linked to over 550 job titles, so that someone with no writing experience could finish a CV in minutes. Building one was free, and users could try premium features for £4.99. The listing placed Hashtag CV in Birmingham.
That August the project had appeared on SideProjectors, a marketplace for side projects, looking for a technical co-founder: "a technical coding master" in C#, .NET, JavaScript and SQL. The builder itself ran on C# and .NET.
In November 2015 the builder's own site footer said it was "owned and operated by Hashtag CV Ltd." Companies House shows Hashtag CV Ltd was incorporated on 24 July 2014 with Christopher John Butler as director; Helen Mary Butler joined him as a director on 17 August 2015. The company has filed accounts and confirmation statements every year since at least 2018. The records do not say what became of the CV builder, and hashtagcv.com now fails to load with a security error.
On 2 July 2025 the company changed its name to Two Krakens Ltd. It remains active under the same two directors. Two Krakens calls itself a "content first agency" and offers podcast studio hire, video production, thought-leadership videos and marketing content. Its about page describes a husband-and-wife team, Chris and Helen Butler, making video, podcasts and digital content for B2B brands. Neither page mentions CVs.
