The WordPress shop builder whose Fik name now fronts a Shopify agency.

A 2014 listing for Fik Stores, a Madrid online-store platform built on WordPress; by 2018 the thefik.com address behind it presented a digital agency, and Fik, using the same wording, now builds Shopify stores.

Fik Stores joined Stompstart from Madrid in November 2014, under a name field that read only "m8JhVtR9tMRXTmj." Its description was plainer: a "SaaS e-commerce platform based on WordPress" for creating, customising and modifying online stores and managing orders "as easily as creating and managing a blog," with customer support, deals from logistics, payment and marketing providers, and "affordable monthly subscription plans." A Startupxplore profile put it in three words: "Shopify on WordPress."

The platform predated the listing. In July 2013 the Spanish startup blog Loogic described FikStores as an online store service built on WordPress, with pricing that began with a free plan until a shop started selling. In July 2015 thefik.com carried the title "The Fik Initiative" and the line "Create your online store." The same name heads a GitHub organisation that links to fikstores.com and holds Fik Stores themes, an SDK and developer tools, last updated in August 2015.

Shopify's partner directory lists Fik.life, in Madrid, as a partner since February 2016. In August 2018 thefik.com presented "Fik, la agencia digital que habla tu idioma" (the digital agency that speaks your language), which promised to analyse needs, design solutions, programme successes and build alliances, under a 2017 copyright. The next month, in its last archived copy before 2025, fikstores.com still showed the Fik Stores sign-up form and gave its support and contact addresses at thefik.com. The earliest archived fik.life, from July 2019, uses much the same agency wording, names the same client, Mueblecasa, and offers to turn a Shopify shop into a flagship store from 2,500 euros.

The archived pages do not say when Fik Stores stopped taking shops, or whether the agency is the same company as The Fik Initiative. Today fik.life describes itself as "a 100% Shopify-focused agency with over 10 years of experience" and does not mention Fik Stores or WordPress. The fikstores.com domain now carries articles about casino slot machines.
