In March 2019, 9to5Mac, citing Il Sole 24 Ore, reported that Apple had bought Stamplay for about 5 million euros. That August, Apple's FileMaker subsidiary renamed itself Claris and announced the acquisition, saying Stamplay's technology would power a new product, Claris Connect, with former Stamplay CEO Giuliano Iacobelli heading the integration team. Claris still offers Claris Connect today.
