What happened next
PrecisionHawk acquired Droners.io and AirVid in February 2018, and founder Dave Brown took charge of its pilot network development team. PrecisionHawk filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in December 2023. In a post around 1 May 2024, Daniel Apke said he and his brothers had bought Droners.io the week before, and they later described outbidding a rival in the bankruptcy auction. The droners.io site blocks automated visits, so its current pages could not be read.
