Ferris helps people edit and share videos that are trapped on their phone. Most video apps are limited to only a few seconds or only of content that is \"social media worthy\" but most video that people capture is longer and of their every day lives (their kids at the zoo, birthdays, hiking, etc.). Instead of letting current technology dictate how long or what memories we should keep and remember, Ferris sets people free to remember what they want and share it with who they want. Ferris instantly creates stories from as many video clips as you like at run-time, on your phone. You can continue adding to a story (e.g. road trip to Rockies that your friends can follow along with as you go) if you wish and even work with friends to fully capture an event (e.g. people all add their own videos from your wedding). Ferris is the 'photo album for you videos' that you'll want to enjoy and remember. Dust off those videos clips rotting away on your phone and download Ferris for iOS, today!","description_kind":"full","stage_text":"Public","market_tags":["family","mobile","video"],"location":{"city":"Santa Monica","country":"US"},"links":[{"kind":"http://www.ferris.tv","url":"http://www.ferris.tv/"},{"kind":"http://www.facebook.com/ferrisapp","url":"http://www.facebook.com/ferrisapp"},{"kind":"https://twitter.com/ferrisapp","url":"https://twitter.com/ferrisapp"},{"kind":"https://www.linkedin.com/company/3246927","url":"https://www.linkedin.com/company/3246927?trk=tyah&trkInfo=clickedVertical%3Acompany%2Cidx%3A2-1-6%2CtarId%3A1430001602320%2Ctas%3Aferris."}],"redactions":0},"attachment_digests":[],"revision_digest":"sha256:f8bf9e0cd09a86651e8b14030853dfc630a7ba2ded84eba51d9d9b90402a579f"}],"moreObservations":false}],"moreListings":false,"stories":[{"storyId":"sty_8c6d294d74dbfe75f2eb821e39","slug":"ferris","kind":"short","title":"The family-video app that became Wheel and joined Tinder","dek":"A Santa Monica iPhone app for turning everyday phone video into shared stories, which raised $2 million in 2015 and, renamed Wheel, was acquired by Tinder in February 2017.","publishedOn":"2026-09-29","checkedOn":"2026-09-29","startupCount":1,"image":null}],"moreStories":false}
